Northland 2021 Rookie Registration is OPEN!

The Rookie Division is Northland's first level of play your child will experience. It is open to players 4-8 years of age. It utilizes a machine to pitch the ball and teams have 8 defensive players in the field. This will be a player’s first exposure to real pitching so the machine is used for consistency. At this level, you will see dramatic improvements in your child as they take a big leap to this style of ball. The focus of this level is fundamentals, development, safety and fun. Coaches are on the field with the players offering instruction before, during and after each play.

The league will run from May 1 through June 30. Practices dates are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7 or 7-8 pm.

About our Organization

Little League® Baseball and Softball is the first organized youth sports program in the world, and was founded in 1939 by Carl E. Stotz, a resident of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. During the spring of 1939, a total of 30 players formed three teams, and Mr. Stotz along with a collection of volunteers from his neighborhood, embarked on the first season of Little League Baseball®. Today, millions of children — ages 4 to 16 — on six continents and scores of countries can attest that baseball, softball and Little League are synonymous.
